傳說民宿 Legendary Bed and Breakfast

The view from our room of the clouds and mountains was magnificent. The room was clean and the owners and staff are friendly and helpful with hiking directions. Breakfasting on our balcony was luxurious on the eye.

Magnificent view of surrounding tea plantation and sea of clouds in the mornings. Decent daily breakfast with a good variety (Taiwanese and western). Owners very generous and kindly helped us with pickup and drop-off at the downtown bus stop. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation! Room and bathroom very clean and bright. Communal fridge and cold/hot water service just outside the rooms. Location is great for visits to Alishan national park.

We liked everything!

Absolutely stunning million dollar view from the room and its beautifully designed balcony. Large, comfortable room. View changed from hour to hour, cloud sea like an ink painting one moment (not guaranteed, we were lucky), crisp night city lights twinkling in the distance at 4am, I could sit and watch all day long, except you are in some of the best (hilly) hiking in the country. All my photos from a single overnight stay. Good, simple breakfast. Very peaceful feeling. This is for the quad rooms. Smaller rooms will not have the terrace. Older photos do not show the classy partitions between each rooms' balcony. Would love to return for a whole week. Super kind hosts; don't speak English (I know rudimentary Chinese and used translation app).

It's only a 10 minute drive to town but if you took a taxi, just be sure to bring whatever you need for the night (dinner, lunch). The solitude is actually part of the appeal. Could use more seating. Need to pay a deposit via (Taiwanese) bank, though they may figure out foreigner-friendly payment structures later; this is why most previous guests are from Taiwan. A local friend helped me book.

Breakfast was simple, ordered by the owner. Location was up a slope, not accessible by bus but the view was great!

If meals are provided as well, it would be a great place for prolonged period of stay.
