"Lovely place"

The location with the view over the water was spectacular. We had strong winds which made it a unique experience being so close to the waves. Ian is a very nice host who gave us tips for what to see and where to eat.

We’d have preferred an own bathroom. The shared bath is maintained nicely but it’s still not the same.

"Unbeatable views, very comfortable stay - we will definitely return!"

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at port house. It was easy to find with simple parking and we were given a warm welcome by the owner. The view from our bedroom looked out over the loch and was beautiful in every kind of weather. I had been a little wary of the shared bathroom situation but it was never a problem - both the bathroom and downstairs toilet were spotless, we didn’t need to wait to use either at any stage. I feel that the lack of en suite is not an issue as it’s reflected in the price and clearly communicated when you book so I won’t subtract any points from my score for this. Having access to a fridge and microwave was a real bonus - although there are several great options for food nearby it’s nice to have the option of preparing something warm yourself. The room had fast WiFi - my husband was able to work remotely with no issues. There was also a great tv with Sky and streaming services for the rare moments that we weren’t out exploring the area or staring out of the window spotting wildlife. There is so much to see and do in the area and port house was the perfect base. All in all a lovely stay and we were sad to leave.

Beautiful view Close access to a lovely beach

Access to a kitchen Shared bathroom We did know about these things so it wasn't a surprise however they were a negative.

Great location. Great views. Shop not far, coffee/tea room round corner. Great spot to explor the scotish west coast.
