Dromdiah Lodge

Dromdiah Lodge is a special place on the edge of Killeagh village, east of the city of Cork. It is the perfect spot for a peaceful, reflective stay. The aesthetic of the space is very appealing, communicating a simple, creative, and sensitive spirit. The room is clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, large desk for writing and artmaking, and good natural light. The Lodge is tucked in among trees and shrubs, surrounded by the sounds of birdsong and breeze. The host is friendly and welcoming, with a clear vision for the potential of the Lodge. Killeagh is a small village with a lot to enjoy, including Glenbower Wood, Greywood Arts, pubs, and shops. The location of Dromdiah Lodge is perfect for exploring the many interesting towns and sites in the region. Highly recommended!

Dromdiah Lodge was a hidden oasis. Very peaceful and calm. We were in robins rest and you couldn’t hear any traffic noise from the road. Pádraig was great at communicating,super helpful and friendly! Gave great recommendations. Such a beautiful setting. Will definitely be back when we are in cork again.

A little fridge would have been handy to put milk and a few bits in.

I was attending an event nearby at the Hidden Sauna, so the location was perfect The drive, along quiet rural roads in Co. Cork, was stunningly beautiful. The owner, Paudie, was friendly and welcoming. The rooms are newly done up, perfectly clean, spacious and the shower is lovely. I had my little doggie with me, who was able to go for a walk along a quiet, car-free lane and the place is so quiet that I slept peacefully all night.

The room was basic but large and bed was comfortable. For the money paid, it was a great value. Easy walk down to the Old Thatch pub where we had a very nice meal.

Only complaints were some sound certainly came through from the next door and while it ended up not being an issue, in some communication there was mention of a refrigerator to use but we did not find one.

The host is amazing, thank you so much for allowing me to arrive late and being there to greet me. The place is truly amazing, wish I could have stayed longer. Amazing place in an amazing part of the world. Thanks, I will be back. Don't hesitate, get this place booked.
