INThe home is beautifully located at the mouth of the Kadalundi river. Praveen & Meera have a lovely covered deck over the river where we spent most of our time. It’s peaceful & enjoyable to watch pond herons, egrets & ibis searching for food. Meera’s cooking as certified by other reviewers is excellent. Everyday for breakfast & dinner we had different items. Dosa, sambar, eggs, French toasts, puttu & kadla curry, Idiappam & kurma. Dinner likewise was a variety of excellent Keralite food - nathuli fry and fish curry, Appam & chicken stew, pepper chicken with chapatis and pathiri (rice rotis). Each meal was accompanied by fruit. I was so happy to get jackfruit in this season. The food was so well made with so much love. Thank you Meera. Praveen was always responsive n very helpful, organising auto/taxi for us. Making calls on our behalf because of language issues! Pulling out a huge spider from the room. It was monsoon season. We had gone armed with mosquito spray, odomos cream. Praveen had ayurvedic agarbati’s & electric Good Night mosquito repellent so the room was totally mosquito free.

DEPraveen and his wonderful wife are the most friendly and caring hosts we met. They truly cared about us by halping arranging outings, preparing trips and above all, by their wonderful cuisine - the food was heavenly delicious. Malayem features a wonderful garden at the river with a nice deck to sit at. Both rooms are equipped with AC, which comes in very handy given the humid climate. Close to the hotel is a bridge where you can watch beautiful sunsets!

INIt is a beautiful room, fresh and airy. All the things in the room were organized. Excellent dinner provided to us. Beautiful location and landscape. Worth the price and value for money.
