Wonderful people plus wonderful view

Great place, the owners are really friendly and willing to help in any way they can. Definitely recommend!

- The lovely lady that owns the house is nice, very kind and polite, she brought us breakfast every morning and tea all day. - Good value for money having the breakfast included. - The room is extremely basic and small, but clean and the bed is comfortable. It’s fine for one night. - Bathroom is shared but well kept.

- Oh my, THE FLYS!!!!!!!!! You have to prepare yourself for this because the whole of Mt Bator has a MASSIVE problem. Billions of flys have completely over run the area because the local farms use chicken poop as fertiliser, so it’s absolute hell!! When I say it drives you insane, it drives you INSANE. You can not sit outside anywhere in the area so we were also unable to sit outside our room. It totally ruined our time we were desperate to leave. - No air con which we knew about but we expected a fan. We couldn’t open the window because of the flys. So we were really hot. - The area that the house is in is very poor. It has absolutely no where to eat but to be honest you wouldn’t want to eat the small ones that are for locals because they look very unhygienic. The supermarkets are also far away. - Just a tip, don’t do the hike at night, it’s a difficult steep hike it’s not easy, especially in the dark, and many people don’t even get to see the view because of morning clouds, not to mention the hundreds of people hiking with you and ruining the view at the top. We did ours late morning, yes it was hotter but we were completely alone at the top and had the most amazing clear view!!

Where do I begin? This hidden little gem in Kintamani is the most precious place we have been to in a long time 🤍 The host family is wonderful, incredible kind, they offered us free rides to the hot springs, organised our tour to Mt. Batur with a great guide for a great price (lower than anything you will find online!), made sure everything was always sparkling clean. The rooms are small but very comfortable, the bedding is really high-quality! The bathroom is shared between the 3 rooms but you shouldn’t worry about this - it was cleaner than many private ones in other homestays. You can have breakfast until 11 am which is more than generous and since there are limited options around, you can also ask for dinner when you are hungry. We also loved being away from the touristy Kintamani - this was a much more real Bali vibe, being in the village. Definitely recommended! 🎉

The beds are super comfy. Great pancakes served by the very lovely hostess.
