VIGNACOURT Melbourne RICHMOND HILL

This is a home stay with an older Italian couple. They are absolutely lovely! They were warm and welcoming. Their eclectic home is in a beautiful and central location with great pubs and cafes just around the corner

The living arrangement felt very shared. Privacy was not great - we were sharing a bathroom with them. The bathroom itself was also unclean with hair on the floor, and it seemed we were expected to use their used bars of soap to clean ourselves.

A lovely vintage style house with a renovated bathroom. The hosts were lovely, friendly people. Lovely quiet neighbourhood.

Shared bathroom was not ideal, not a huge issue though!! It would be lovely if there were ammenities for guests to use.

We liked the location.

Everything else. The accommodation and the advertising was misleading, everything felt dirty and old. The bed was old and uncomfortable. They had towels laid on the floor covering the carpet. The bedding had hairs on it. The bathroom was seperate from the room and there weren’t robes provided. The accommodation is within an Italian Families home. For the price I was expecting private boutique accommodation. They have a curfew for guests! We were shouted at by both the owners when we arrived and they said they weren’t expecting us when out booking was in their diary. We felt unsafe staying here. I asked for a receipt as it was a work trip and she accused me of something and told me she’d reported me to the police.

Location to major facilities was great. Very quiet pocket but close to Swan St restaurants. Oozes charm.

It was all good.
