Trawscoed Mansion,Central Wing

Terrific location and setting. Fascinating history. The apartment was spotlessly clean. We loved the shower.

Not a major issue, but a kitchenette would be a great addition, allowing guests to cook up something.

The suite itself was exactly as depicted ... nothing not to like. The lounge at the entry door was spacious and tidy.

The hall and stairs leading up to the suite were clearly mid-renovation and we're sadly extremely dirty. It had me questioning my choice of accommodation. To be warned of this would have been appreciated. Also when we booked breakfast was included however days prior to arrival were informed this wasn't the case. Disappointing as the price should have reflected this.

Totally old school-stylised experience. It was called the Churchill suite for a reason! Enormous size bathroom - non seen in UK's mansions/hotels anymore. Stylish design, huge room, and wardrobe. The linen and towels smelled fresh, which is not always obvious in other places , styled" as Baroque.

Although email instructions on how to get there were very clear, by the end of the road, there was a sign: Private property, do not enter. So what would you do? There is no signal to call the owner. So I turned back. Eventually, that was the way in, and further signs were found a few meters after warning sign. 😅
