Beautiful and peaceful

The facilities were of a generally high standard: the main room was clean and particularly spacious.

There were several drawbacks — 1) Shampoo and soap were NOT provided. This was mean-spirited. When I questioned this, the host denied any obligation ... rubbish! Shampoo and soap are a given anywhere these days, even in cheap accommodation. He grudgingly offered some supplies as a 'goodwill' gesture ... but when they finally arrived, they were cheap ersatz from a discount grocery line .... that's not goodwill, Garry. 2) The address is "Rathlin [island/sea] View" ... but there is NO sea view. 3) There is insufficient privacy. The main window has a blind, so privacy is 'all or nothing'. Mesh curtains or somesuch should be installed so that the owner, etc, can't look in as he walks past. Which he did. 4) The heated towel rail system is a bad joke. Somehow it is plumbed in, which means it only works when the (desperately slow) hot water system is operating. Result — damp, clammy towels, Cheapskate, Garry! Put in an electrical system. Please. 5) The fridge was another bad joke. The owner has a a sign on it to say, "turn it off if you're a light sleeper." Sure enough, it made a racket in the still of the night. But we like a fridge to be ON, Garry, so it cools our milk and yoghurt. And wine. Don't be a Scrooge, buy a new one. Please.

Good facilities for a comfortable stay. Clear instructions for check in and out by the hosts. Location was superb with beautiful houses and views around the property.

towels (a personal like is having a large bath towel). nothing wrong with the ones there - just a size thing. 😌

The location was fantastic and the feeling of security for ourselves and the car made it a great choice. The proximity to the Main Street and restaurants was also excellent. The room was spacious with excellent facilities.

A slight issue would be the light showing at the top of the blind but that was a minor issue.

good location. Stylish room. quiet.
