Up in the Stars B&B Homestay

The hosts are amazing and could not be more welcoming. Bed was comfortable and having a pizza with them to watch the AB's play was a nice way to spend the evening.

I could not fault anything, everything meet or exceeded my expectations. You wont be disappointed.

The location was private and we were offered an extra room free of cost for my adult daughter which gave us more room to be free to do our own thing. Peter also allowed us to check in earlier than expected as we were drenched from watching my daughter's first AIMS Netball game when we arrived in Tauranga. He carried our heavy bags in and offered a fresh cup of brewed flat white coffee each morning with free continental breakfast. Jenny was also very accommodating as well as their pet dog Coco who is very particular with people but a sweet lil dog. They also allowed on the last night for my daughter to stay overnight after the AIMS games finished before we checked out the following morning.

It felt like we were invading the owners space as it was their home and they were a retired couple and stayed home 5/6 days I had booked. With the NZAIMS games a 20min drive away and unpredictable timings of games we didn't know when we'd be back to the accommodation. We couldn't really enjoy the living area or use the kitchen area as often as we would have liked and ate out most of the times which was not part of our budget. There was only one night we cooked dinner and breakfast out of the 6 days we were there. We stayed in our rooms most of our stay. It was my first time experiencing air bnb so in future I would book a separate unit next time with own cooking facilities. But otherwise we were very happy with everything overall for a last minute booking and the positives of this lovely beautiful home and Peter and Jenny definitely outweighed any negatives we had.

Room was really clean and spacious. Great view from the main room - excellent breakfast and great conversation! Highly recommended and will return if we are back in the area!

It’s a beautiful place to stay with a beautiful bay view. Owners are very welcoming and friendly.
