Coffee and Pepper Plantation Homestay

Memorable stay. Beautiful location. Huge room, very comfortable. Excellent value for money. George, the owner, went out of his way to organise all our trips, transport etc. Also, his tour of the family plantation was a real highlight. One of our best stays in India. Excellent food also.

We loved our stay at Coffee & Peeper Plantation. The room was lovely with a great view. We enjoyed the walk around the garden and the pride the hosts take in the property. The home cooked food was delicious and brownie and ice cream a bonus.

Beautiful tranquil location, lovely home stay, welcoming hosts. The dining area and open kitchen was superb, clean, spacious. Room was large, with great hot shower. Sitting on the veranda watching the wildlife was perfect.

Een bijzonder mooie homestay, moderne smaakvolle bouw en inrichting. Volledig in balans in een prachtige natuur. Diner en ontbijt was super goed verzorgd.

Het is een erg mooi verblijfje in het groen. We hadden een erg ruime slaapkamer met groot balkon! Het eten was steeds lekker, opties waren wel eerder beperkt. Met vragen konden we steeds bij George terecht, hij zorgde ervoor dat alles steeds zeer snel geregeld werd (zo vroegen wij op een avond voor vervoer naar Kochi de volgende ochtend, even later liet hij weten dat dit geregeld was).

De ruimte om te eten is niet erg gezellig, het geeft wat een ´reftergevoel´ zeker doordat er een open keuken is. In het gebouw zelf is er een gezellig binnenplaatsje, het zou veel gezelliger zijn om daar eten te voorzien. Hoewel George steeds voor je klaar staat wanneer je een vraag hebt, misten we in vergelijking met andere verblijfjes toch wat het warme ontvangst/ de grote gastvrijheid. Wij ervaarden het op andere plaatsen steeds als heel aangenaam wanneer de gastheer/vrouw echt interesse toont, komt checken hoe het met je gaat, advies komt geven die aansluit bij je interesses,... dat zou in deze homestay nog wat meer mogen. Op wandelafstand van het verblijf vind je niet zoveel, je hebt vervoer nodig als je naar het stadje wilt (ongeveer 15 min met de tuk tuk, voor 200 roepies). Een tuk tuk wordt wel heel erg snel geregeld door het verblijfje!
