Mountain Aloe Den

Die Lehmhütte mit Strohdach ist wunderschön, die Aussicht gigantisch und die Gastgeberin mit ihrer kleinen Tochter total herzlich. Tolle Ausstattung. Da es hier weder Netz noch Internet gibt und draußen nachts stockdunkel wird, bekamen wir sogar ein Funkgerät ausgehändigt. Falls etwas sein sollte. Kein Empfang, keine Menschen, keine Hektik. Nur Berge, Ruhe und das Gefühl, gerade etwas ganz Besonderes zu erleben.

Bei etwa 10 Grad Außentemperatur merkt man außerdem schnell, dass Lehm und Stroh nicht gerade für Wärmedämmung bekannt sind. Es gibt zwar einen Heizlüfter, aber der funktioniert nur, wenn möglichst alles andere ausgeschaltet wird.

High up in the Mountain- this was truly a great experience for me and my siblings!! As cold as it was in the evening, grateful that all the rooms had heaters in them, enough blankets, a whole lot of warmth and comfort!! I also loved that our phones did not have signal// for me that is a formula to a real retreat and escape from the busy life and city. Ohhh and the outdoor showers 🙌🏽🤩🤩🤩breathtaking.

Goede gelegenheid om een of twee nachten te logeren als je van Swaziland naar Zuid Afrika gaat of andersom. Mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Maar redelijk basic. Geen punt als je avontuurlijk bent ingesteld.. Vriendelijke mensen en behulpzaam.

Pegado a la frontera con essuatini en plena zona patrimonio de la humanidad, las montañas Makhonjwa . Nos dieron una cabaña encantadora con unas vistas fabulosas a las montañas circundantes. La abundante cena tuvo un coste de 200 rans por cabeza . Silencio, tranquilidad, relax. Sitio recomendable a 40 km de Barberton

The location is so beautiful and peaceful. When you come from Barberton you pass several natural reserves, which are absolutely stunning. You drive about 30 mins to 1 hour from Barberton (depending on the weather) on a road that is well maintained. You don’t need a 4x4 to reach the destination. Great location if you are traveling to or from Swaziland as it close from the border. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a kitchen at our disposal and had to bring our own food (it was low season and we booked last minute). The room was well decorated, clean and had everything we needed.
