Beautiful quiet room in the heart of Holmfirth

Large light comfy room, spotless bathroom with huge shower and bath, friendly host. Fascinating layout, an underdwelling, a traditional style of house found only in a few towns in North Yorkshire. Hence the steep historic stone steps down to access.

Stacey the host had got everything covered in this accommodation. The room is in her house, with its own huge modern bathroom which has a bath and separate walk in shower. The bedroom was huge with amazing views. There are quite a lot of steps to get to the accommodation via the back of the house which is not an issue for us. We had no problem parking on the main road, which was then just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Holmfirth. If you need to put things in a fridge or freezer, you could use the house fridge freezer , also the option to cook in her kitchen and eat in the kitchen diner. We chose to have breakfast out at the 'Wrinkled Stocking ' which was Nora Battys house from 'Last of the summer wine' highly recommended. We will definitely be stopping again at Stacey's .

Nothing not to like

Great location 10 mins walk from centre. The house was lovely and full of character it was very kind of Stacey to share her home with visitors. Loved everything about our stay. Would stay again should we ever return to Holmfirth.

Liked everything

Our room was really nice, and the bathroom was huge, especially the shower. Stacey was a great host, meeting us as we arrived, and gave us the house rules. The bed was really comfy too. Next time we are in Holmfirth I will definitely try to book here again.

What made this stay exceptional was the warm and hospitable hosting from Stacey. We had some really lovely chats and she made sure we had everything we may need. We really enjoyed staying with her and it made our trip all the more memorable! The location is really great too- just a 5 minute walk into Holmfirth. The home itself is beautiful! Full of character and charm

Lovely property with a pretty garden and views over the stream. The bed was big and comfy. We had sole use of downstairs lounge and upstairs bedroom and bathroom. We had shared use of the kitchen but instead of cooking we had an excellent meal at The Fox House, a short drive away.

Nothing we didn't like but you must be able to manage steps.

Stacey is a lovely welcoming host. The room was excellent, really comfortable, spacious and clean. The bathroom is huge with separate bath and shower. Lovely views over the valley behind the property. Far enough out of the centre of Holmfirth to be quiet and peaceful but near enough to be easily walkable.
