Flower Patch Homestay

The friendliness and the helpfullness of Basanta and his family were extraordinary, I felt very much at home. The homestay is in the very centre of Kalimpong but in a quiet area - close to some of the main places but you can enjoy some peace and quiet with stunning views of the valleys below from the garden while eating your breakfast or having your morning tea. I would definitely love to return one day!

Location is excellent. In fact one can skip sightseeing in Kalimpong and spend a day here. The garden and the view of the surroundings from the garden is fantastic. For the best view from room request in advance for Room No. 3 (double room). The triple bed room is also equally appealing.

There are some very basic things missing in the room, like plug points at the wrong location, or the flash not working, or no wall hook in the bathroom. This is not expected. Please note, if you are coming by public transport with big luggage the last 100 metre will be difficult. Also if you are driving your own vehicle reaching the place and parking and reversing may be a nightmare.
