Bunyong Homestay

This was my first trip as a solo traveller and James made everything as easy as possible from the moment I booked til the moment I arrived, when he welcomed me with a massive smile and treated me as a member of his lovely family. My room was comfy and quiet with great aircon and provided me with everything I needed.

Bunyong is really kindful and helpful. He has traveled extensively and understands the lifestyle and privacy of people abroad. He respected my wishes as much as possible and made me feel comfortable both physically and mentally.

If you want to have an amazing experience with the locals in Siem Reap, I strongly recommend to stay at the family home stay here with them!🤗 they welcome us and we had a lovely time with them, we felt to be part of their family! Amazing people , food and home stay!

Nothing, it was everything what we were expecting to have!

It was a nice experience in Bunyong homestay, we ate together for breakfast and dinner laughing about everything.

With Bun and his friends you can also get transferred from the airport and Tuk Tuk tour around all the Angkor Wat and also tours for sunrise and sunset.

Very friendly staff always willing to help, offers transport to any place you want to go, also picks up from the airport and drops you back off

The only thing I can complain about is that there are no shelves for your things

Amazing welcome from Bun and his family! We could connect with the whole family and had great times together sharing diner, market visit and cooking classes! I highly recommend !

Our experience of homestays has always been good on this trip but Mr Bun and his family and friends were just pure joy. We arrived a day early and he welcomed us with open arms. His daughters were a delight and their English is great. The homestay is on the edge of town but Mr Bun can arrange transport for you to anywhere either by car or by his friend, Champion, with a tuk tuk. We had bicycles so went everywhere on those. Breakfast and an evening meal is included in the cost and these were always joyous occasions starting with a beer and a game of uni with the kids followed by more beer, maybe some happy water and a delicious meal. . It’s a completely different experience than staying in the center of town in a hotel with a pool but one we much prefer. I can’t thank Mr Bun and his family enough for letting us into their lives for a short while. Free water, tea and coffee are on offer at the homestay too and fresh fruit for breakfast grown on their property.

The bathroom smelt a bit- but this wasn’t because it wasn’t clean- just the system they have and you do get used to it
