Best homestay in all of Asia. Seriously. Everything about it is awesome. It is by far the cleanest homestay I have seen in Sri Lanka. The family who runs it is the sweetest and most caring family ever. We had the room with private bathroom and it is super nice and spacious. The location is also amazing. The homestay is a 5mins walk to the lake. Other cool walks accessible from this place (tea farms, huge tree up on a hill with great views, hindu temple…). Little out of town which was very enjoyable because it was way more quiet. Also the owner offered to drive us to town for Adam’s Peak. We also had breakfast and dinner here every day as the food was so good. They make great roti with dahl, pancakes and rice and curry :) couldn’t get enough! They always made sure we had everything we needed - clean towels, tea and coffee, water… The owner Shantha drove us and another girl who stayed here to the most beautiful waterfall we had ever seen. It was a very local and hidden spot that Shantha was very happy to show us. We spent a few hours there with him and we loved it! So sad to leave this beautiful place and family. Shanta and his familiy are the nicest family of all Sri Lanka! Really. Shanta took me in the middle of the night to the startpoint of Adam's Peak. He also took me and two other guest to the Moray Waterfall which is a must see if you are in this area. We could enjoy our time at the waterfall as long as we liked. Shanta patiently waited for us. The food is amazing and Shanta, his wife and his mother have beeb serving it always with a big nice smile. The lake nearby is awesome for a little morning dip or for a relaxing afternoon after hiking. I loved everything about the stay and could have easily stayed another week to fully explore the whole area. (Unfortunately that wasn't possible because of my flight)

During the weekend it can be a bit loud on the streets but it's also nice to see how many local people are travelling to the town to climb the Adams Peak. It for sure doesn't get boring.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. We were provided with tea as well. Felt at home.

We had a comfortable stay at this accommodation. The host is very nice. He even dropped us at the Start point for the Adam’s Peak hike for free. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. It’s a bit far from restaurants/ shops etc.

The only thing to mention is the very low pressure of the showering water, the beds could be more comfortable as well.

Easy access to Sripada mountain and owner knows about beautiful locations like waterfalls, sunrise points, sripada mountain view points etc., also their foods was tasty. It also was easy he has a tuk tuk that we could go my location anytime with him.

The property is in the middle of nowhere but the family will make your stay as suitable as possible. They arrange everything you possible could need and they are incredible kind. If you want to go to Adam’s peak the owner will drive you in the middle of the night (you’re supposed to do that to see the sunrise). I’m so happy that I decided to stay there. Totally worth it!
