The location is great, the room was clean, shower was lovely, host was friendly

The only good thing about this property is that it’s a 2-minute walk from the beach. Beyond that, my stay was a sheer disappointment. The bathroom is open-air, and I found frogs and lizards inside, which was extremely uncomfortable. Lots of mosquitoes at night as the bathroom is open air and creepy crawlies can enter the room. The rooms have no AC, only a very slow wall fan, so it was unbearably hot at night. The beds were uncomfortable, there were no proper blankets, and bathroom essentials were barely provided. What bothered me most was the staff entering my room without permission while I was away and only informing me later this is completely unacceptable. Another big issue was payment. They only accept cash, no cards and no payments through Booking.com. I was not informed of this policy in advance. Instead of taking payment at check-in, they demanded it only at checkout, which caused a huge hassle and delayed me when I had somewhere important to be. They made me run around the town to organise for cash last minute Overall, this property lacks basic comfort, transparency, and professionalism. I would not recommend staying here.

It’s literally less than 100 meters to the Hiriketyia beach, so you can leave your key somewhere and go directly surfing barefoot. It’s simple and cosy, I had the little room with shower, with some openings in the wall for air circulation and fan. I saw jungle through my windows and heard the sea behind it. I really loved staying there, it felt like being home. If I come back to Hiriketyia one day, I don’t want any other accommodation. Staff was very nice. Also, the price is unbeatable.

The kitchen was not top, but at least it had a knife to cut and peel the fruits and an electric kettle to warm up a tea
