Had the worst experience of our trip at this hotel. Beware- we booked a ‘deluxe double room’ and the owner gave us what is advertised on booking.com as his ‘budget double room’. Which was like a prison cell. When we asked for the room we had booked they gave us the only other room left on the property. On departure he then tried to charge us 3X the price we had booked our room for- arguing with us that we had to pay for 3 nights, even though we had written confirmation on the emails that we had only booked 2 nights. At one point I had several staff surrounding me with this owner yelling at me. In the end I paid the inflated price but only for the 2 nights I had booked, not the 3 he was attempting to charge. When booking a specific room it should be reserved for customers- to receive a worse room and then have to pay 2X more for a slightly better room is really unfair! Complete denial from the owner, and awful customer service, I have never come across anything like this in my life (and I have worked in hospitality for many years!) The new room we were moved to was lovely and big, however very dark due to poor lighting, and also very hot as the ceiling was high and the roof slated in red. I have stayed in other hotels here with no AC however this was the hottest as hiriketya is very sheltered.

The rooms are clean and good sizes The garden is a great place to relax and watch the waves (there are trees along the edge, but it's beautiful) Great coffee Lovely and helpful staff, I will definitely be booking again when in hiriketiya

Is was really nice beds and the room was big enough for the five of us. We liked to sit outside the room on the balcony.

We missed some where to sit inside the room, there were no chairs, sofa or table. we missed hooks to hang our clothes and towels on.
