Homestay near a station and park

Very Spartan, just a bed in middle of room. Shared areas smelt of cannabis.

Simple room with bed and clean. Parking was fine. Perfect as just wanted a bed for the night. Good price for what I needed.

More could have been done about the smell. Not just weed, but strong body odour, perhaps from previous guest

Ok so lets start by saying it's £22 a night so cheap. It has electricity and a clean toilet.

OK so bearing in mind it's cheap I think Booking.com should really take a look into this property. Other than the bed there is NOTHING in the room - No table , no drawers ... Nothing. There are no locks on the doors (so you can't responsibly leave anything in there but more worrying is it safe?) No heating - it was pretty cold and felt damp. The estate the property is located is to say the least rough ( The owner has reversed the hinges on the front door to prevent it being forced and installed a metal strip over the opening) The curtain (it was one solitary curtain not a pair did not cover the window in its entirety, which is a problem when there is a spot-light directly opposite outside. This resulted in the room being pretty lit up all night. The flat i would say is a 1 bed with a partition wall to create a second room and the living room which is advertised is actually the letters bedroom/lounge so off limits. The letter of the property plays very loud music and unfortunately smokes weed in the room (He did ask if he could smoke in his room however did not specify the substance) Started cleaning in the kitchen at 11.40pm till around 12.25 and was listening to the radio at 1.30am. The partition is very thin on both sides so couple the music with extremely loud snoring from another guest not condusive to a good nights sleep. The bed has no headboard and cannot go against a wall so prepare to slide off the end. Bring your own bedding as the bedding provided (Although clean) is poor quality and inadequate) I would not recommend single female travelers to stay (I wouldn't want my partner there alone) you only have a door wedge preventing anyone entering the room. Hope this helps ... You get what you pay for I suppose :)
