The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The view from my room and its adjoining balcony was breathtaking.

I honestly can't think of anything to improve. Maybe just that the hosts should spend more time taking care of themselves instead of their guests, hahah. Hopefully Lâm will be old enough soon to take on some additional work to spare his parents some time to rest!

Absolute gem of a find that will absolutely make your travels to Vietnam entirely worth it. I have nothing but great things to say about the property, location, activities, hospitality and food. I’m not even sure where to start… the property is built in Thai style on stilts, and the rooms are comfortable, clean, and clear of bugs or other critters. The property has an incredible garden with views over the rice paddy’s and valley to the southeast of Tram Tau. It’s a place you can totally unwind, let the distant village sounds of chickens, wood chopping, and fires crackling take you back to older and simpler times. It’s also the perfect place for adventurous travelers. There’s two majestic mountains to climb nearby, waterfalls, or simply explore the back roads and stop by the local surrounding villages for an authentic cultural experience. The host, Ðung, his wife, and his son will go truly above and beyond to make sure you have the experience of a life time. They have great recommendations for activities, will assist in arranging bicycles, motorbikes, motoraxi’s, private car transfers, you name it. Then, as if all this wasn’t great enough of an experience as-is, the host’s cooking at night was something we’d look forward to each day. For three dinners we fashioned ourselves in an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s Part Unknown, just without the cameras.. did I also mention there’s also friendly dogs that will protect you on your walks and adventures and take their job as tour guide extremely seriously!! if you’re looking for a place to stay, away from the crowds in Sapa or Ha Giang, save yourself the hassle and don’t look any further than Zoni.

Nothing/Nada/Niets

An unplanned stop which turned out to be my favourite stay of my trip. An authentic homestay with the friendliest family and their pet dogs who live in the same building. They were always very helpful and welcoming. They have 2 adult dogs and a puppy which loved to be given attention. It was a lot of fun playing with the energetic puppy. Comfy and clean bed with consistent hot water. An amazing view from the property overlooking the rice fields and houses below. Extremely peaceful area too, no noise from traffic. They can do laundry and cook food for very reasonable prices. However there isn't any dryer. The pancakes with honey and tea for breakfast were delicious. They even let me to wash my muddy motorbike and the husband even helped to fix it up a bit to make sure it was running smoothly. Appreciated it so much. Overall a great experience at their homestay, would definitely visit again :)

With a Thai style house and private rooms with great views. From here, you can see the whole Tram Tau, a place rich in culture and landscape with terraced rice fields. Really delicious meals cooked by the owner, or by local Thai people. Two lovely dogs are your guides to visit the village. Highly recommend.
