Our stay at KRISHNAGIRI Homes can best be described as a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. While the photos flaunted on their listing may seem appealing at first glance, the reality is a stark contrast that left us feeling cheated and disheartened. Upon arrival, the disrepair of the property was immediately evident. The rooms had an overpowering stale odor, as though they had not been aired out or maintained in ages. It was unsettling to think about the condition of the space where we were expected to stay. Even more distressing was the host's suspicious payment policy. We were instructed to pay an advance due to our late arrival, which they insisted on without any flexibility. This approach felt like a deliberate trap, as we found ourselves cornered; after unloading all our luggage at 11 PM, it became painfully clear that we were effectively scammed. To our dismay, we later discovered that the rooms were non-AC, a fact that had not been explicitly mentioned in the listing. Instead, they offered air conditioning for an additional charge, which was sprung on us only at the time of final payment. The suffocating smell made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep, and we had to make our stay bearable due to our situation of being unable to look for an alternative. As if that weren’t enough, the bathroom situation was appalling. They were poorly maintained with no geysers, leading to a comically inadequate system where the host, with his medical condition, was boiling water in small vessels to fulfill our hot water needs. Unfortunately, his struggling efforts resulted in insufficient hot water for our family of five, forcing some of us to take cold showers. My wife and mother-in-law, both of whom ended up feeling unwell due to this oversight, suffered greatly as a result. The only semblance of hot water we received the next day did little to redeem the damage already done.

Our stay at KRISHNAGIRI Homes was marred by discomfort, anxiety, and frustration, turning what should have been a relaxing getaway into a regretful experience. In conclusion, I cannot recommend KRISHNAGIRI Homes to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Their misleading advertisements and lack of proper amenities make it a risky choice. Save yourself the trouble and seek out a more transparent and accommodating option at this price point; we surely wish we had.
