Mel was a lovely host. She let me drop my backpack off before the check-in time. She was friendly, hospitable and kind. Comfy beds, great central location. Bright spacious room. This was my 2nd stay at Mel's and I would stay there again at any time.

The property was close to all amenities. The whole house was Spotless, spotless spotless, very comfortable and great value. Mel the host was very welcoming and made our stay just perfect. I would highly recommend this property.

Everything was wonderful

Everything was amazing and Mel's a great host. She is generous and a pleasure to share time with.

The only small negative side si that both rooms I used faced the main road in letterkenny, with noises of cars and people chatting all night long. Of course not Mel's fault though!

No breakfast offered but I didn't want breakfast so that's fine. Tea & coffee facilities in shared kitchen downstairs, none in room. If you want a glass of water you would have to go downstairs for it also.

The mattress was too soft for my liking & the bed was somewhat creaky. The windows are not double glazed & the traffic is bad in that road not to mention the revellers spilling out of the bars in the town standing outside the property laughing, talking etc. I was woken at 3am & was unable to get back to sleep because of the noise & I was using ear plugs too. I prefer a quieter accommodation. Apparently it is quieter during the week. It is not clear by the advertising whether there is a toilet or bathroom in the room. In the room I occupied there was neither & I had to use the toilet/shower across the hall. Inconvenient if, like me, you like an ensuite or if you need to get up to use the toilet at night.
