Everything in naddi castle is so pleasent. The view, rooms, food. Hosts are very helpful and tried their best to fullfill every requirement.

1) Amazing view of ever-white Dhauladhar range of Himalaya mountains, seemed that you can touch it. Both Sunrise and Sunset can be viewed from your room ! 2) 3 side open room with 3 balconies attached on a hilltop property ! Viewing everything - the mountain, the valley, the trees, the nest of bird on trees, the village life, the step farming green fields of barley, the domesticated cows & dogs, the shepherds & flock of goats - every single thing is viewable & audible from your bed ! 3) Entirely wooden-furnished room, seemed we're at Europe ! 4) very less numbers of rooms and no other property within 100 meters, making it your perfect serene destination peaceful vacation !

Like each coin has 2 sides, each thing in life comes with both good and bad parts. 1) As it is location is on a hill top, the real road ends much below !. So it should never be selected for aged / disabled persons who cannot walk the steep steps. 2) As it is location is in serenity at a remote corner of village, nearest shop is far away. So you must buy your items beforehand. 3) As it is perfect location for peace - no TV. 4) As it is a Homestay - you should never expect to push a button round the clock and then expect that some room service boy will come running at your service ! The owner boys run the Homestay, and you must behave as their valued polite gentle guest. If you think yourself as Maharaja as soon as you reach a Hotel - it is not a place for you.

The location is wonderful: up on top of the hill, quiet, away from the main road in a peaceful idyllic setting watched by the lesser Himalayas. The room overlooked trees, grassland, and mountains. There is a hiking trek from the hotel that links to Monk's point with prayer flags and which links to the trek going to Gallu temple, Triund trek, Gallup waterfall etc. Lots of walking!

Loved the place..only thing is the set of stairs one needs to climb, so it is not disable-friendly or for people with difficulty climbing up and down stairs.

The setting was stunning and the host was very accommodating and helpful: answered all my questions, anticipated needs, helped with booking taxis and getting meals and offered great conversation.

Not much - I was super comfortable!

Great feeling when you enter the space, wonderful view of the sunrise and mountains. Clean space and has everything including thick blankets and heaters. Felt very comfortable and the hosts were always around in case I needed anything.

As the property is quite remote, it takes a little while to walk down the hill (5-10 min), fetch a taxi and get going. But you can always be sure there are taxis in close proximity. Unfortunately, the walls aren’t 100% sound proof, so that I could follow my neighbours phone conversation.

Naddi Castle is away from the crowds, with a short taxi ride to take you into Mcleod Ganj and nearby villages. A short walk via a track past the locals houses and gardens give you a lovely insight into village life and takes you to Naddie village. The sounds of the birds and the view of the mountains made our stay very relaxing. We had breakfast and dinner most days of our stay. Kartik cooked us beautiful meals.

The stairs were an issue for me, but still worth it.

The wooden loft is really nice, was a nice quiet place to take a break and relax away from the busy areas:)

A warm shower would of been nice, but the warm vibes and magical view made up for it!
