Everything. Jeana, the hostess, greeted us at check-in, but then quickly left. She gave us few details about the property or what to expect for breakfast other than it was “from 8 onwards,” but we discovered it was only from 8-9am. Also, there was a random large dog that walked into the breakfast room. Other guests mentioned he was the “hotel mascot” but it was off leash and wandering around. It wasn’t appropriate that we were not made aware that a dog would be in a dining area. The linen appeared unlaundered as there was lots of hair on both the sheets and pillows. The worst part was that there was absolutely no hot water. Showers were impossible unless you wanted to freeze. In the morning, Jeana didn’t say anything or acknowledge us. Had she acknowledged the lack of hot water, we would’ve appreciated it but she literally walked past us with her head down. We simply left the keys and departed.

Jeana was warm and welcoming and nothing was a bother. Our room was comfortable and spacious and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice to suit everyone. A great location for exploring Fort William and surrounds.
