Price, location, and friendly staff. Both rooms have a big fan and AC. La Serrezuela mall is right in front, and it has a food court. It was very useful to be so close due to our tight schedule.

We booked two rooms, and in one of them the shower wasn't properly clean, we found hair in the drain. The loud music from the neighbours.

Very limited English speaking staff Cold shower No meal options 3 flights of very steep stairs without any rail or sides. Just open steps with a wall on one side and nothing on the other. Quite dangerous.

The location of Casa 39-33 is excellent, you can easily walk to the main tourist landmarks, such as India Catalina, Castillo de San Felipe, los Zapatos Viejos and everything in the Centro Histórico (old town). In addition, the accommodation is right across from La Serrezuela Mall, which is very convenient for the services and stores that such a place offers. There are restaurants nearby and Getsemaní is also just a few blocks away. We had breakfast and lunch (El Cabildo Restaurant) in that nice neighbourhood every day, as it is cheaper than San Diego and Old Town. Also, there is a Transcaribe (city bus system) station very close that takes you easily to Bocagrande and the bus terminal, which is a good solution for moving around the city. It's well known that cab drivers try to overcharge tourists, especially foreigners; therefore, so this transcaribe station is a practical and affordable solution. So, the location was excellent, we couldn't have chosen better. The room is on the third floor with narrow stairs, which was no problem for us. It's spacious and comfortable. Just outside the room, there is a terrace with a nice view of the city. As mentioned in the description of the accommodation, this is a homestay with a very welcoming and friendly family. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay.

The only complaint I have is that TV didn't work well. Every time we tried to use it, the screen froze after 10 minutes due to loss of connection. However, we could use YouTube without any problems.

Really friendly staff who let us check in early. Accommodation is quite simple but it’s very clean and everything works perfectly. Great location inside the walled town.

Had to pay for bag storage but this was very reasonably priced

A great hostal run by a lovely family in a fantastic location in the Old Town. The room was clean and very good value for money. The family is lovely and welcoming.

The family is really nice and helpful. Absolutely squeaky clean bathroom, fresh towels and linens, comfy bed and pillows. Fans and A.C. work well. Great location, just across the street from Serrezuela mall, close to a.big supermarket, quite safe to walk around, even at nights.

The staircase to reach the third level where my room was. It would be great to have drinking water for each room, please. The rest was great

Nice family accommodation in Cartagena, well located between the centre and the city walls. The room was small but comfortable.
