Blue Waves Surf House - Tamraght

The location itself is beautiful, but that’s because of the natural surroundings, not the hostel. The only genuine highlight was the view from the shower

The room sold as a “sea view” overlooked a derelict building with only a sliver of sea visible. Sheets were stained, and the mattress smelled strongly of sweat and fabric conditioner, making the bed unhygienic. Staff were often absent and unhelpful. Breakfast was included but unacceptable , food that should have been hot was served cold, including the tea. By the second day, we skipped it altogether and checked out early. Dinner was not provided; as it’s not included but instead extra but as we were told to take a taxi to another hostel in a different village to eat., we didn’t have dinner for the first or second night. Advertised activities were not delivered, and the WhatsApp group for guests was inconsistent and unreliable. Overall, the stay did not match the description, services were not provided as advertised, and the advertised price (before discount) is completely unjustified.

We loved our stay at the blue waves hostel! Having breakfast on the roof terrace every morning, the lovely interior, super friendly and reliable staff made our holiday truly special. I'd recommend it to anyone :)

Rooms are clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Our room was very spacious and had lots of light and a private bathroom and balcony. The roof terrace is also stunning. Breakfast was great as well.

The hostel is a good walk 20 - 25 minute walk from the beach so I would bear that in mind in terms of location. If you're planning on booking a package with the hostel that includes surf lessons, yoga etc and will take advantage of their transport, that won't affect you too much. However, we were doing our own activities and so found ourselves doing a lot of walking back and forth. I would say compared to Taghazout, Tamraght is less accessible in that regard. Although breakfast was excellent every morning, they serve it at 8:30am and everyone in the hostel eats at the same time on a big table. We would have preferred to have had a 'window' to come up and enjoy breakfast at our leisure. The hostel also serves a set dinner in the evenings but I think in comparison to local restaurants in Morocco of simiilar quality this was priced quite high.

Super nice rooms and terrace and very clean. Breakfast was amazing! Comminication from the hotel was great. They organize surfing, yoga and other tours daily. Great place to meet and do things with other travelers :)

I loved the fact that the location is in a quiet part of Tamraght. Everything was very clean, breakfast every morning was amazing and the rooftop is absolutely beautiful!

Super friendly staff and a beautifullly decorated and super clean room. The roofterrace is also very pretty with a nice view. You can really see there is thought in every detail.

The location is not super close to the beach, but still walkable!

Actually it is a surf retreat place, they organize activities every day. It's a bit tricky to find, but the place is really nice, and has a terrace with great views. The room is well equipped, the bed is comfy.

It would be nice to have a hairdryer in the room.
