Master Bedroom-Private Bath, Washington DC

Very walkable, nice neighborhood, easy access to restaurants and Metro, nice older home. When I asked for help with the TV from staff, they were quick to respond.

Could not lock the bedroom door from outside the room, so when we left, it was up to the owner to provide security.

It was clean comfortable and had everything we needed.

The location is perfect, the neighborhood is very nice! The room was okay, we had a great time there!

Spacious room, immaculate bathroom; lovely and quiet street. Owner happened to be there when I checked in and out so he very kindly carried suitcase up and down the stairs.

One could, however hear, too well, tv and talking downstairs. There seemed no way to turn on the fan (no wall switch, no hanging strings to pull, too high to reach) and it was uncomfortably hot and muggy in DC in late Sept. When I returned one night around 8.45 pm the front door was ajar rather than locked; I called out “hello” four times but the resident owner did not answer. Later that same night a man downstairs was still shouting at 11.05 pm (he thought he was just talking?).

Nothing to like.

No private parking, No Air conditioning, hot during afternoon time. This is a condo unit with 2 bedrooms and the bedrooms are shared with other parties, no privacy. From the street you have 3 flights of stairs to climb up to the bedroom. Terrace was filthy. We didn't stay more than 30 minutes and had to find another safer place to stay. Owner didn't even bother to even give out a partial refund. Owner also requested us to leave our shoes downstairs before going up the dark area stairs. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Très agréable séjour, le quartier est charmant et paisible, un métro direct permet de rejoindre le centre de Washington. Nous avons été très bien accueillies, et la chambre était jolie, très grande et très bien équipée. Un très bon choix pour Washington !

Very clean/sanitized. Quiet, secure, private, well-adorned, thoughtfully appointed, and modern. Simple in and out, the room was up 1 flight of stairs. Had an inviting feel overall. Safe, walkable, tree-lined, established type of neighborhood - this is not the DC on the news of drugs, violence, crime, etc. Easy and plentiful FREE street parking right out front. I didn't worry about my car being broken into. Everything worked: fridge, microwave, outlets, etc. Hot water with decent pressure. It's about a 6-minute drive to Mass. Ave. and 20 min. or so non-rush hour to downtown GWU/White House. The host, Sky, was a pleasure to work with. Quick responses to my questions and accommodating to my specific needs. Would I recommend this place or stay here again? Absolutely. Positively. 100% yes.
