What to say about our stay? Well lets start by the beginning. After a long day in the car due to traffic (3x longer than expected) we arrived at the destination at the exact time we had communicated to the owner (19:00). In the last communication the owner informed her husband would be home at 19:00 to open up the appartement for us. When we arrived (with 2 little kids) there was no one at the house. We waited for 10 minutes and then called the owner to know what was wrong. The owner told us there would be someone within 10 minutes. After waiting another 10 minutes nothing changed. We tried to call the owner for 3 times but she didn't pick up the phone. The 4th time she picked up the phone and told us there would be someone in 2 minutes. That didn't happen. At the end we waited for more than half an hour until the appartement was opened. The worst of this all was when calling her, the owner said there was nothing she could do about it, as we said we would be there at 19:00 and we were there at that exact time?! I told her we arrived at the exact time we said we would arrive, instead of making excuses the owner was very unpleasant in the communication, she wouldn't even try to communicate in English. There was no apology. After the unpleasant start we found out the kitchen wasn't well equipped, the electric stove is so little it's almost impossible to cook with 2 pans on it. The appartement is really noisy, we could even hear the burps of the owner (I'm not kidding). There was also a noisy washing machine and a very loud noise we couldn't identify but sounded like a drill. We were attracted by the good reviews but our experience was totally different. Especially the fact of leaving guests waiting and not apologizing made us upset. We didn't feel welcome at all.
