Alpenhaus Montafon by Pferd auf Wolke

The apartment is located centrally in the small village of Gargellen. There is parking in a lower parking lot, but you can unload luggage at the main door. The apartment was adequate for our needs. The kitchen is small but had dishes and pots. We liked the balcony and the gorgeous view. The WiFi was good.

There is no staff or reception at the building. After you pick up your key in St Gallenkirch, you drive up to Gargellen. It was confusing at first to find our apartment as the stairway is not marked. It’s actually a white door on the ground level. Note that there is no lift. When we picked up the key we got a welcome bag with two tiny soaps, dish detergent, a dish sponge and dish cloth. It would be more efficient to have those items in the apartment already as they are basic. There is no oil, salt or pepper in the apartment. They would be appreciated by travelers. It also seemed strange to pay extra for linens hire when it’s included in every other accommodation I have stayed at. There was a problem with the hall light flashing on and off one night but I reported that to the office. Finally, the door is tricky to lock. The first night I thought I had locked the door but was surprised when a man entered. It was the wrong apartment. So check it carefully.

The flat was very clean and very well prepared for us as guests. The kitchen definitley has all you need if you want to cook some meals during your stay. Enough pans, plates etc. Coffee machine, kettle, toaster... all there! The view from our balcony was absolutely fantastic. No TV needed during the stay:-) Some board games and puzzles were in the room, more to be found at the enterance on the ground floor.

I stayed in hotel for a week. I got a little bit with public transport that only available in summer. It is the best service one of stayed. Host support a lot whenever I got issue.

Quite spacious place, small but nice kitchen. Fridge again small, but it all (just) fitted in it. Nice the magnetron is grill-magnetron. Nice there is a balcony, wonderful place to sit early in the day or once the sun has passed in the afternoon. Also, down in the green we had great time under the trees playing card games. Very quiet place. Absolutely gorgeous to walk and hike around.

One of the pillows was really very flat and low Q. Paying for the bedlinnen is mandatory, so this cost should be included in the price, and not charged separately.

There was no lift to go upstairs and the kitchen lacked microwave also, no fans or air conditioning so felt bit hot. Few mosquitoes came in at night as there were no mesh windows or doors to block their way.
