"Huge disappointment from host and customer service"

Not woth it! Stay away from this host!

We booked accommodation about a year in advance. Our family of 5 traveled from far away. The host called us less than a day before check-in and confronted us with the fact that the previous guests had not checked out and we would need to spend the night elsewhere. We no longer had a choice, since it was very difficult to change our plans. We were forced to agree. We received a new address and agreed on a check-in time of 6 pm. An hour before arrival, we wrote to the host and received an answer that we would be met. However, when we arrived there was no one there. The hostess did not pick up the phone, after 15 missed calls and an hour of waiting, I contacted booking and they said that they could not get through and promised that if we were not settled in another half an hour, they would look for another option for us. Within half an hour, we were still settled without any apology and said that we must vacated the housing before 11 am. Thus, we spent 1.5 hours waiting for check-in and another 1.5 hours the next morning when moving to our original accommodation. Since our temporary accommodation was worse than what we had booked, we asked for the price difference to be made up. However, we did not receive any compensation. And when we turned to booking they offered us to solve this issue ourselves. Very disappointed with such an attitude of the booking to their customers, and that the host can afford such an attitude. This significantly ruined our holiday and I would like to condemn this attitude and express my extreme dissatisfaction with the work of the customer service department.
