By far the BEST place we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful house with gorgeous scenery.

This must be best property in all of Hallstatt. The home (entire bottom floor) is huge with ground level walkout to a covered patio and then grassy backyard that is right against the lake and a large stream. The property is protected with a 3 foot wall to the lake that is equipped with a pool ladder for entering and exiting the lake. Amazing. The views are stunning. Owner provides ample indoor and outdoor seating. There are 2 large bedrooms. The property has 4 doors to the outside, which indicates its size. We used the dishwasher, oven, and the clothes washer, which allows for reduced packing. The kitchen is packed with amenities. The property is just a couple minutes walk to the center of town. Even more impressively is that the owner is very friendly and responsive. He has written a definitive book about Hallstatt and welcomes questions during the stay. Trust me, you will love staying here.

Peaceful and fantastic location

This place is absolutely incredible. Josef lives upstairs and was very personable while also being respectful and unobtrusive. Wonderful stay!
