A wonderful old farm building renovated to modern standards while retaining it's original character inside and out. Prime location in the center of Matrei with a big garden and ample parking space. Lovely and friendly hosts who pay attention to every last detail and go out of their way to help you with anything you might require. Easily one of the top 3 accomodations we ever stayed at.

I will say one thing about this property and host that they were the best till date whoever I've met. Gerti (host) was so welcoming and she was happy to see us which actually made my day and trip more memorable. Her husband guided her through everything inside the property and trust me everything was very clean and almost everything was provided inside the home. The home actually is of 16th century but so well maintain and gave an heritage feel. It has huge parking space too. Interiors were new and everything was huge. In the morning Gerti left breakfast which she bought from market for us which was so sweet of them. Overall i will surely recommend to go and experience the hospitality and the unique heritage experience. Currently they were constructing a new HUT for stay which seems to be so cute. Do visit this place on your route to Grossglockner. When we went route was closed but then Gerti suggested other route so i don't miss the fun of route. I found that option more beautiful and also saved my time. This place is the best option on route to Grossglockner. I`ll surely comeback here and this time i`ll stay for little long. Thanks Gerti and family for pancakes which they gave for my daughter while i was leaving. So sweet !!

Nothing is there to dislike. Just go and njoy the stay. this place is beautiful and well located.

Before arrival, we had spoken with the owner of Kesslerstadel on the phone and she spoke very good English. She happened to be at the property when we arrived and immediately showed us the property. It was a welcoming beginning to our 4 night stay! The combination of old and modern is outstanding, The location is a short walk to many services and restaurants in the town of Matrei.

There was nothing we could say tht would be considered a dislike of this property.

My family and I enjoyed this historic and modern house very much. And the area is very nice to walk around take a stroll... The best memories for us is landlady and her mon showed us the great hospitality!! It's pity we just stayed a night. Hope one day we could go back again:)
