Haus Alpengruß

The property is a little out of Mayrhofen, but that is clear from the location map, and it is not far uphill from the town. If you follow the path uphill behind the property, you quickly reach bus stops in both directions on the bus route between Mayrhofen and Hintertux. These allow travel into the town or to the bus and train stations. By foot, the town would be perhaps 20 minutes and the stations 25 minutes, both at a swift pace. The property itself has an attractive traditional appearance. There is a well-maintained garden and a terrace area with seating, where you can relax and admire the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. I stayed in a single room, which served as a suitable base for longer hiking trips in the upper valleys. The stay was excellent value compared to similar properties in the same area. The welcome from the hosts was particularly friendly, which contributed greatly to what was a fantastic visit to the beautiful Zillertal.

Wonderful place to stay close to Mayrhofen. Lovely clean, comfortable and quiet bedroom with good ensuite bathroom.

The guesthouse owners were so very helpful and kind. They did everything to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely with a stunning view from the balcony.

The hospitality was great you really feel at home here.

The bus service into town was quite irregular a pain if you have ski equipment however theirs lockers in town you can use and it’s not that bad of a walk
