We loved Braidwood and Wallace Lodge! It was a perfect stay. We felt very at home and loved all the art and books. And the bed was the biggest we've seen! It was lovely to be right in town and walk everywhere.

"Cosy and comfy, perfect for a one night stay!"

A big lovely comfortable bed and good strong shower, very clean too!

It's on the main road of the town which is handy for the cafes and bakery, but the early morning truck traffic makes it impossible to sleep in, bring some ear plugs! Also, regrettably there was no one to greet us on arrival, perhaps a prior arrangement of key collection would have been a good idea or the use of code lock so we could let ourselves in.

"Everyone loved it, so quaint and cozy."

So wanted to stay longer. Loved the antiques and the modern art blend and the interesting history and all the nik naks, the usage of historic artifacts, eg the rusty toilet roll holder made from what would presume to be relevant historic metal repurposed, the library and the old sewing machines. Lovely feel to it that the outisde appearence does not give away.

The mobile reception was temporarily affected. Some passing truck noise but was only woken once I think. It was a quiet country road.
