The Gate House, 2 storey Historic Accommodation with mod cons

Loved the setting, the beautiful historic houses and the animals. The host met us on arrival to help us get into the room. Close to both Toodyay and Northam to go for a meal.

Had trouble getting the house warm, but to be expected in an old historic building.

The location was great, as was the cleanliness of the rooms.

The upstairs en-suite smelt off, like there was a blocked sewer/sink drain. Fairly rancid smell. The stairs were a little precarious to negotiate. We believe this information should appear when advertising the property. We are 65 years of age and negotiated the steps OK, but it may be hazardous for some, particularly older people.

Great location for a couple of nights getaway from Perth. We didn’t realise how much there was to see in the area and how close it is. Perfect setting and the Gate House had everything we needed. Fireplace was appreciated.

This place is just magical and so special! Peaceful surroundings, beautiful garden and swimming pool - the best place to relax and refill your energy;) You just have to feel good! Very lovely helpful owners!

The location, history and was clean and peaceful to stay. Very nice place

The single bed on ground floor was very uncomfortable, the mattress sags in the middle and so bot great for the back. Suggest change in bed/mattress.
