GORGEOUS STUDIO + 100M TO BEACH + POOL

The location was good and the pool was nice

There were bugs all through the room, these small gross little flies. The bed was very uncomfortable. It left like lying on a mat on the floor not a mattress. Also they didn’t provide multiple things in the room that i expect from any accomodation. They didn’t have a landline phone, which was definitely a need considering the horrible reception there. They didn’t have any phone chargers either. Also even though the room had a washer and dryer, there was no washing liquid. No shampoo and conditioner, and worst of all, There was no milk in the fridge for a morning coffee. That was very disappointing. Also fair warning nowhere delivers food on the island, not the hotels fault, but still frustrating. I would definitely suggest bring a car if you are going to Stradbroke.

Rooms weren’t very sound proof, could hear upstairs neighbours easily (whom were very noisy)

The property is very close to the beach and there is a little swimming pool. Restaurants and shops are not too distant by walking.

The owner was not very responsive. The shower sliding door was broken and a sink handle cover (hot water) was so loose that it comes out. Furthermore, there were a lot of little flies. I wrote to the owner about this problems, but the answer was not consistent with the issues. Also, at a certain point, the shower head fell off, while my partner was showering. Since it was a Sunday, and we were leaving the day after, it was impossible to solve this problem in time. The owner put us in touch with the maintenance, but even communicating with them was difficult, because the zone has almost no signal and the number provided to me had no whatsapp.

We love the location and the size of the apartment. They are always so clean and homey as well!

Unfortunately the shower was less than ideal - the shower head wouldn’t hold up, and would continue to lower as we showered. Also, the shower door is on the brink of breaking, the doors don’t slide across smoothly and seem to almost get stuck when moved. Not necessarily the property, but there was an unusual amount of small moths in the room during our stay. They would sit on our clothes and towels and hover around the bed. Unsure where they were coming from as the doors remained closed the entire time during our stay.
