The cleanliness level was disappointing and not having AC in the apartment was challenging.

The apartment was very dirty, from the oven to the floor. Linen is in need of being replaced, as evident by the piling on the sheets. Toilet was blocked from arrival until late on day 2, then worked inconsistently until we decided to leave early. Owner tried to fix it himself, but to no avail. Shower was partially blocked the whole stay, despite the toilet and shower being reported multiple times. Passage ways and garden are very messy. Very different to the photos shown on Booking.com. When leaving early, we were shouted at by the owners mother, telling us that we were the only ones with the problem and that it is an apartment so we shouldn’t expect it to be cleaned regularly and that we should just remove the dirty trays in the oven if we wanted to use them. The shouting made our young kids feel at unease. Absolutely disgusting how she treated us. Instead of acknowledging the problem she attacked us and said the room was uncomfortable because we didn’t book a two bedroom apartment for our 2 kids who are both less than 2 years old. Despite them staying in the bed with us and the space being no issue to us whatsoever. Highly disappointed by the experience.

I liked the location of the apartment, it is near the lake and a 5-minute walk to the center of Zell Am See. Also, the rooms and the bathroom are clean and there is a nice private balcony where you can enjoy the lovely weather. Not to forget the family were very polite and lovely and it was very nice meeting them.

Everything was great, the only thing that needed to be replaced was the bedsheets, they are little bit old.
