There is no sound deadening in the rooms. My room wasn't on the road but I could still hear everything from outside the front including room 1's shower in stereo. Also there was more dust on the TV shelf then I have ever seen before in anywhere I have stayed before. Also was not good value at $360 a night. I reckon it is $250 maximum.

The host is responsive and key collection was easy, especially with a late arrival.

The cleaning needs significant improvement. I had hoped that the previous poor reviews were old and that maybe they had been taken on board and changes made. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The room is absolutely covered in dust, from the skirting boards to the bedside table lamps that don't appear to have ever been cleaned, to where you hang your towel and not to mention what appeared to be urine on the tiles in the toilet against the wall. There was coke or some kind of liquid splashed over the curtains and having to close them made me feel like I immediately needed to wash my hands. For the price we were charged for the room I would have expected it to be clean! I understand that the noise from the pub is an issue although this isn't something that can be easily rectified. The cleaning though, that is the bare minimum any guest should expect when booking a room.
