Russell Falls Holiday Cottages

Scenic location close to the river and national park. Wildlife easily visible from the back deck of our cottage. Great to have a washing machine and drier. Barbecue facilities at our cottage.

Awesome location, wish we had more time to spend and explore this area

We booked, paid in advance and received confirmation both from booking.com and from the venue. However, four HOURS before we were supposed to check in, I received an email that said that actually, there's no room available and we can't stay there. Our booking shouldn't have gone through, there's a technical error involved. I sent an email back immediately to ask follow-up questions; no reply for several days. The promised refund never happened. Absolutely awful situation. If you can't guarantee that guests actually get a room after making a booking (and receiving a confirmation message from you) due to "technical difficulties", then mark the listing as "booking request" until you've ironed out the issues. We flew into Tasmania only to find out upon landing that we suddenly don't have a place to stay. Trying to find accommodation for a family near a national park that's even halfway affordable is a nightmare as it is, without being left in the rain like that. Absolutely terrible experience.

Dinner took a very long time to be made from the on site food van.

Great location close to Mount Field National Park

There were spiders and cobwebs in several rooms. Edging around the floor was quite dirty. Cleaning products had been left on our bathroom sink.

Could do with a little more cleaning, the mattresses on the bunk beds need replacing as the springs could be felt by our kids who both weigh less than 23kg so would be externally uncomfortable for adults.
