Russell Falls Holiday Cottages

We have stayed at Russell Falls cottages a few times over the years. The cabins are excellent, spacious, clean and everything you need for a short stay. The staff are great in keeping you informed of the surroundings and check in process.

This has no reflection on the staff or surroundings. Unfortunately due to the expansion of the business including a camp/ caravan park and additional cabins the serenity of the area has been sadly lost. Unfortunately we will not be returning to Russell falls.

Beautiful setting by the river. Spacious cottage for two people. Lovely rear deck overlooking the river with BBQ and outdoor furniture.

Cleanliness was below average. Most items in kitchen had to be washed before use. Lots of dead flies at windows.

Too many bugs

Actually a very nice little house with great amenities. Could be much better rated if there would be an appropriate service!

The owners bomb you with information you don't want and need (food truck, etc.). However, they don't respond to a single message, and the reception desk is unstaffed (even though it is listed as such on Booking.com). Repeated requests to send the self-check-in details by email were simply ignored. We had to call them to get the information, which is not easy as a foreigner if you don't have an Australian SIM card. We found this service very bad and therefore cannot recommend this accommodation (by the way, the money was debited 10 days in advance, there the owners were very strict about). Minor negative points: heating did not work, despite 9 degrees celcius in the morning, and bathroom needs renovation.
