Paradise at The Bay

Proximity to the beach and location in a wooded area was lovely with lots of birdlife at our door. Everything one might need to prepare food and entertain was available in the property. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom was also great.

Not having a car made it difficult especially on day one to get supplies for breakfast etc as the caravan park shop did not supply this and the nearest small shopping centre no longer had a supermarket, and by the time we walked to Shoal Bay that one was also closed. It might be worth alerting people to this. The front door lock of the unit is tricky and might fail as it is wobbly now - worth replacing.

Close to where I needed to be. Its has 2 carpark which was really good as we travelled with 2 cars. The apartment was clean and spacious. Very good for family. Overall, we loved the place so much. We will definitely come back and recommend to our family and friends.

Location of the property was both convenient and beautiful, as it is within a forested and landscaped area and within a block of the beach. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the apartment, its amenities, the responsiveness of the host when we had a problem with the internet/wifi, and the secure parking.

The property was initially hard to find since the address was listed using the apartment number first, followed by a slash and then the actual address of the street. We now understand that this is a common approach in Australia but as visitors we assumed that the first number was the address, rather than the second number. We would suggest separating these on the property communications so it is clear what the street address and the apartment number are. We also had a problem with the internet, which we were ultimately able to correct with the owner's assistance, after several efforts. One of the bedroom fans was noisy and we didn't use it and the air conditioning system was a little odd.

Hosts were lovely and easy to deal with. The location was walking distance to Little Beach so we didn't have to battle for a parking spot. The kitchen was very well equipped which made it easy to cook for our family.

The sofa bed was very old, the mattress smelled and was uncomfortable.

Location was great. Living areas good size.

Bathrooms a bit small but okay. Nowhere to put suitcase.

Advertised as waterfront but from in the unit you look out onto other units and nice grassy area- really can only see water from outside. Unit is quite dark.
