Cairns Ocean View Apartment

The views, the size of the apartment, the cleanliness. It was beautiful

The apartment was comfortable for a family of five with all the necessities in it. We liked the separation of bedrooms and bathrooms and that it was very clean.

We were disappointed we couldn’t use the facilities at the Rydges resort other than the ground floor pool, and it was a bit of a walk to get to eating places, particularly in the heat and with kids. There are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed like doors off hinges, balcony door that wouldn’t open, mould above the shower, Netflix not signed in despite signage to say it’s there, outdated entry instructions and links to brochures or information that don’t work. While l messaged the owner, it was obvious they are using automated emails and didn’t acknowledge my communications. The apartment just needs some TLC and to make it clear it is not part of the Rydges so does not include use of hotel facilities like tennis, gym or the roof top pool. All things my teenagers were looking forward to.

The apartment is beautiful, good views and the location is great.

The apartment it’s too noisy, we paid an extra night just to do an early check in and there is some remodeling going on in the upper apartment that didn’t let us sleep a second, we also struggled to check in cause the instructions were not very clear.

Was a great unit, very nice, but bathrooms are original.

Absolutely everything that you can think of might be needed in a stay away from home - was so nicely taken care of - it was absolutely amazing.
