Old and tired place with spider webs, annoying flickering light and offensive half a spoon of Nescafe in the jar even though there was an instruction how to use coffee machine which wasn't there. After we paid, they requested copies of personal IDs (passport AND credit card). Why? The instructions (given to us after we had paid!) for checking in, behaviour, dos and don'ts were infuriating and very heavy-handed. For example, check in time was 4pm or later at their option. Check out time was 10am with a charge of $100 for every 15 minutes after that time. The place had wifi but it was not available for guests. They held $500 deposit for 5 days after vacating!

Nice kitchen facilities

The excessive $500 security deposit that they take from your account and won’t get back for weeks is so inconvenient it makes it the accomodation itself not worth it. Find somewhere else.

View was great.

No car park allocated, 3 levels of stairs for bags! Ended up parking on grass and going through a side door. Wasn’t aware of this when booking.

Great location - easy walk into town and close to ski resorts. Great view of Lake Jindabyne. Everything we needed to self cater for our holiday.

Not soundproof - could hear upstairs neighbours walking around, using their clothes dryer and baby crying.

Comfortable bed and clean premises in great location.

Overall Rydges is outdated and needs a good spruce up in common areas - carpets, paint etc. The combined bathroom / laundry was functional, basic but dated. Supposedly there was an allocated carspace but could not find it so used visitor parking.
