The Airbnb was relatively spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms . The location was quite good for galleries theatre etc but a bit further for shopping and eating out in Melbourne’s really interesting restaurants.

While superficially quite clean, we had to dig a pile of other people’s hair out of the shower in the ensuite bathroom as the drain was fully blocked and the shower filled with water. The washing machine started leaking onto the carpet on a Saturday. I tried to contact management via the Booking.com app but didn’t receive any correspondence. After I sent a second slightly annoyed message on Monday morning, I finally received a text message, I am supposing from the owner directly and not through the Booking.com app. It seemed to blame me for the issue and stated that I should’ve called the after hours number on the sheet of paper I received on check-in. We did receive a sheet of paper but it only included the Wi-Fi password. I think a lot of these issues relate to the fact that this is a privately owned apartment within the Wrap complex and after this experience, I won’t ever book this type of accommodation again. There was no luggage storage available unless I was prepared to pay $100 per hour for an earlier check-in to the apartment. The key pick up was also in a separate office a block or so away from the actual building. Just messy all round.

The shower drainage needs more maintenance. Shower water doesnt go down at all.
