Coopers Cottage Battery Point

Loved the location in the most beautiful area of Hobart. Loved the decor and just how clean it all was. Lots of lovely touches to the house to make the stay so comfortable.

I loved everything but if I had to say one negative thing would be the steep staircase. Not a problem for me but for some it could be.

The position was excellent in terms of its proximity to the CBD. Mostly a quiet location with modern keyless access. The ambience harked back to a long gone by era. Solid period style furniture and good window shades. The bed was comfortable as was the linen. The upstairs lounge was of good size for 2 visitors as was the dining room/table. The kitchen was well appointed with different options for morning coffee preparation (incl. a machine). The bathroom was serviceable in size albeit not large.

The stairs are steep, narrow and the steps short. They require attention to detail, particularly during the night time when bladder signals are calling. Elderly persons may need to factor that into the equation. There is nothing anyone can do about this, as this is part and parcel of the way the building was constructed a long time ago.

Excellent well appointed accomodation in the heart of Battery Point, but a stones throw from Salamanca. Everything required for my stay was provided and they went out of their way to cater for a special request. I couldn't have asked for more. I would also add the decor is perfect for the location and modern where it needs to be.

Brilliant location, Battery Point is very cool, and close to Port and Salamanca Place. The cottage is well furnished with some very nice touches and real character. Great shower, plenty of space, comfy bed, kitchen excellent and well equipped. People friendly and helpful.

Fabulous location, quick walk down Kelly street to Salamanca - but plenty of cafe's and restaurants and Battery Point if you want to stay local.

The stairs in the property were a bit narrow. And the toilet is downstairs from the bedroom, this might effect older people who prefer not to navigate stairs at night.

Coopers cottage is in a fabulous location. It is easy to walk everywhere and there are excellent cafes and restaurants just nearby. The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet.
