The Heart of Glenelg

The location is excellent; the beach, parks, Jetty road with restaurants, a direct regular tram, simple tap on payment to Adelaide… this is just a perfect base for exploring. Coles is only a few minutes away and Dan’s liquor store. Oysters at the marina were delicious and barely a minutes walk away. We loved visiting the bay museum and gum tree reserve. There are lots of useful brochures on hand in the property. It’s got a lovely evening vibe especially at the weekend when we stayed. Communication with the host before and during our stay was informative and prompt. Directions were easy; key lock in the entrance hall easy and security is good; the residential block is quiet. Prints for sale are displayed on the walls. The bed was comfortable but not wide and the linen clean. There is a ceiling fan. The air conditioner is in the livening room. WiFi was strong. Laundry facilities are v useful and there were generous amounts of washing liquid and toilet rolls for our 4 day stay. We would recommend and stay again. Breakfast items provided included a small carton of milk, a box of bran flakes, honey. A packet of garlic crisps and a packet of biscuits were gifted. Thank you.

Even better if…. The shower pressure was stronger. Key areas were clean but we had to empty the vacuum cleaner and tumble dryer filter; some areas needed dusting and stains needed a bleach. Surface wipes were handy, It’s a personal preference but we would have liked more cleaning sprays etc for guests to clean up after themselves especially since we self catered. A colander would be helpful in addition to the sieve provided. Some of the knives need sharpening or replacing. Thanks for a great stay.

Location location location! Good view, air on and fan, main bed, kitchen supplies, and layout.

The sofa bed was terrible! They are usually a compromise, but this was particularly bad with metal springs mere millimeters away. Also, it is a fire hazard/unsafe to not have a way to lock the door without a key.

Location was spot on, the apartment was very clean, well maintained and very comfy. home away from home. My husband and I really liked it a lot. Had everything we needed. The surprise treats left for guests was a lovely thoughtful touch. Even tho was it new year, the atmosphere was good and the noise was OK. no problems.

The property was a super convenient location, easy access to public transport or if you have a vehicle you have a secured car park to use. Every little thing you can think of as a convenience was provided, from tea, coffee and milk, to sauce and a few snacks, decent shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of plates, bowls and cups. Thanks so much for adding to our trip. Will save this as a place to return to.

Location was great, close to beach, shops, cafes and public transport and great local walks.
