Super convenient spot for exploring the western suburbs outside Melbourne and exploring Williamstown's shorefront. A block out from the foreshore and the wonderful Nelson Place shopping strip, along with a bunch of historic spots close by. The apartments themselves are modest but clean, comfortable, and great for short stays where you just need a good place to sleep at night. Lots of simple but important amenities like a kettle, hairdryer and a small fridge, bunk beds and extra fold-out beds if needed. The beds themselves are comfortable with soft and fluffy pillows, with clean sheets. Rooms are high-ceiling, with lots of free space and air conditioning. The owners have a paint business downstairs along with an office on the ground floor, so support is never far away if you need it. This was the second time I've visited and I'll be happy to come back again!

The stairs that lead up, while charming, aged and obviously original to the building, are quite steep. There's a railing on one side of the stairs, so you need to be patient and take your time. It's a bit unwieldy while carrying bags but not too troublesome. The TV and DVD player in the room is pretty dated - low resolution and the DVD player uses AV cables - it also meant we couldn't find a place to plug in some gaming consoles we brought along. It's fine for just watching free TV and the news, but not much more than that.

I prefer a firm mattress and lower pillows, a variety of pillows (among the 5 on the bed) would help so guests can find one that works for them

Kindly allowed late check in. Easy to follow check in instructions provided. Very comfortable bed.

Limited toiletry items (ie bodywash, shampoo etc) provided for our 3-night stay.
