AFFORDABLE ISLAND ESCAPE! Queen Studio, Nelly Bay

Appreciated early check in, the convenience of that and easy communication with Lynda.

Dated and the reception was closed when we arrived so needed to guess where the unit was!

Clean and comfortable

The owner, Lynda, provided a huge amount of information about the apartment and how to get there prior to our arrival. Self check in via instructions provided and a key safe. Communication with Lynda was very easy and helpful throughout our stay. Ample parking near reception, and a bus stop right outside for those using public transport. The apartment is a chalet style and it a row of chalets which are adjacent to the the pool area and restaurant, and surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. There is so much wildlife here that you don’t need to go far to see wallabies hopping around the gardens and a wide array of birds. The apartment itself was very clean and and a comfortable bed. A good refrigerator and very effective air conditioning, and a ceiling fan. Toiletries, towels and additional pool towels provided. A complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate in the fridge was a lovely additional touch.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to get WiFi at any point during our stay due to the weather. (Heavy rain). the air conditioning unit was quite noisy but the fan was sufficient. The restaurant (shown in the main picture beside the pool) was closed despite showing being open on Google Maps (we were there on Sunday/monday) and we didn’t use the pool, again due to the weather.

Thing to dislike at all

Location is perfect with buses at the front of the accommodation, you don't miss a beach front location. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Owner was easily contactable and checked in by text to make sure we got in okay. We utilised the pool, bar and restaurant which was excellent.
