Het bed was zeer comfortabel maar de slaapkamer voelde een beetje donker en benauwd.

Location, although nowhere in Ostend is that far….. staff very friendly…… nice breakfast with good bread, fresh eggs and deli-style ham and cheese….. no issue on the food front

Again we urge you to beware of photos on booking. com, as we naively booked the apartment we saw which was not the one we got….. stupid!!!!! So putting that aside, the apartment was smaller than we expected and a slightly weird shape….. and seemingly full of mirrors…… elevator smelt of drying dog!

The room is a small 1 bedroom apartment with open kitchen/living room. All you need for your breakfast is available in the fridge. You can bake/boil the eggs the way you want. Sandwiches are delivered around 8:30 in a bag in front of the door. Very clean apartment located in the city center. I also highly recommend Bistro Mathilde (same owners) on the ground floor for lunch and dinner.

Bathroom/shower/toilet facilities are rather small.

Excellent location within easy walking distance to the beach as well as the center and restaurants. The apartment is modern and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The refrigerator was stocked with various breakfast items and fresh bread was delivered each morning to our door. We were able to load/unload car from the 20 min. loading zone near the building's door. There is a lift. We parked the car close by in the underground public lot at the Kuurhuis Casino. We left the car there for the weekend and walked everywhere. Cost was reasonable.

The sliding glass partition separating the bathroom from the bedroom was a bit of a surprise and took a little getting used to. It's very nicely done and a great way to make the space work.

Breakfast was fantastic! Fresh rolls and croissants were delivered to the apartment in the morning. A varied choice of charcuterie, eggs and condiments to go with it were already put in the fridge. Delicious fresh fruit juice and fresh fruit was available as well. The location of the property was ideal for our needs. The restaurant - Bistro Mathilde - which is downstairs, was delightful. Nice setting, fabulous food and great service!
