Beachpoint 101

The property managers, Forster Accommodation, were friendly, organised and professional - 5/5. The apartment accommodation was in a good location right opposite the beach, and the apartment was very clean when we arrived.

The apartment itself was suffering from under-investment and neglect. The ceiling in the toilet was damaged and in poor condition; fly-screens were ineffective and in need of replacement/repair. The tv was irritating to use as its speakers were blown and sound distorted. One of the beds had a wooden frame at its foot, meaning I literally had to sleep diagonally to prevent banging my feet against the frame (& I’m only 1.8m - not super tall). And worst of all, the apartment was very hot; it had no air con, and only one small fan to service the whole apartment. The windows all had stops on them, meaning they could only be opened a few inches, so the bedrooms never lost their accumulated temperature. Even with the one small fan, sleeping was very difficult.

Picked up key from office, very pleasant and informative recp. Easy access to unit which was very clean and just right size.

It rained two days (just joke)

Needs an air -con

No air conditioning Windows only opened 3 inches due to security screws, I understand this but made the whole unit very very hot

Great location. You could hear the waves at night, and it was close to the beach. Setting was terrific. Care packages were a lovely touch.

The kitchen was a bit dated. Needs a dishwasher.
