Jacaranda Cottage

Having the place to ourselves so we could just unwind after a stressful day. The street is quiet and the house warmed up quickly. Having the ingredients to make a decent breakfast on day one was a nice touch too.

The house is in serious disrepair. There is a huge crack in one room where you can feel cold air coming in from the outside. A wardrobe was moved in front of the crack as a means to hide the crack I guess? The floors are impossible to walk on without making noise, midnight toilet trips wake everyone up.

Well appointed, nicely warmed when we arrived, Beds were really comfortable.

It was within walking distance of the golf club were the party was. The shower was hot and had good pressure

There was a distinct musty odour when we walked into the property. The breakfast was only for one night stay which I had not realised when booking, We had to book a minimum of 2 days so it doesn't make sense that the wasn't breakfast for both days. The property the cost was the same as the new motel in Murray Bridge so will stay there next time

Breakfast was a bonus Key was easy enough to access, however, would prefer the personal touch of meeting the owner/s Access to Netflix was appreciated

House is in need of serious maintenance. There are huge cracks in the walls in the front bedroom

Basic breakfast supplied is a treat nowadays . Location was an easy walk to town . Fully equipped with all essentials.

Lounge suite is a shocker!! Played musical chairs trying to find a seat that didn’t have springs poking out uncomfortably

The character of the cottage, lovely breakfast foods provided. The beds.

The creaky floors, the lights in one of the bathrooms didnt work.

The breakfast food provided for the first morning was great as we arrived late afternoon after a 10 hour drive and appreciated having something for the next morning so we could settle in and rest for the evening.

The couch needs replacing as we sat on springs all the time. Maybe they could use 8 days of rent to buy a half price Nick Scali 3 seater leather couch and then work on some new arm chairs too. There were no toiletries and when you travel from interstate and are moving from place to place having soap and shampoo available is important. I know it's a character property but it really needs some TLC and updating.
